Read this if you want to apply!
Hi and welcome to our forum, the information and discussion hub of Phoenix Legends.
It's great that you want to apply to join us, and we ask only that you follow the instructions below in order to be a loved member of our community. The application process requires you to post correctly the application form below in the forum, after which the officers will reply and inform you that they are taking a look. The voting process is open for atleast 48 hours, and after this the officers should post again in your thread informing you whether or not you have been successful. If you do not correctly complete your application form then we will be unable to review it.
We do not discriminate characters in terms of their level, their gear or their spec. We also don't have a definitive age limit for people joining, although if you seem immature you may be refused entry to the guild on the basis that we have a lot of adult members and content which we don't wish to receive complaints about. If you are refused entry to the guild but want more information or to ask us to reconsider, feel free to contact an officer, but be aware that harassing us will not get you anywhere.
You should also note that you shouldn't sign up to the DKP site or join the Ventrilo server until you are officially accepted into the guild. This is purely for administration purposes and while we appreciate enthusiasm, doing either of these may negatively impact your application.
How To Apply
1) Make a new topic/post with the subject/title/header the name of your character.

This allows us to identify YOUR application.
This is the number one thing that people get wrong.
YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE LOOKED AT IF YOU DON'T GET THIS RIGHT
2) Copy and paste the application form below into your topic/post and fill in your answers.
3) Wait for an answer!
The Application Form
1. Is this your main character?:
2. What guild were you previously in?:
3. Were you an officer in your previous guild?:
4. How long were you in your previous guild and why did you leave?:
5. Write the name of your character again:
6. What class is your character?:
7. What specc is your character?:
8. What level is your character?:
9. How old are you?
10. What are you looking for in a guild?:
11. What activities do you enjoy most in-game? (raiding, PVP, heroics etc. )
12. Please add your raiding experiences here:
13. How much do you think you will be raiding? (remember that we wont force you to raid):
14. How can you contribute in a raid (if that's your interest)?:
15. Have you been in Phoenix Legends before, and if so, why did you leave?:
16. Have you read and understood the red text in the "Read this if you want to apply" - post?
17. Tell us about yourself! (this is what will make us chose YOU! The more you write the better!):
Good luck!

Specific Recruit Rules
*Recruitment period is one month.
*Alts are not allowed in the guild.
*Offline time period is two weeks.
*All other guild rules must be adhered to. Any non-compliance may result in failing to become a full member of the guild.
Raiding for Recruits
*For the first two weeks of the recruitment period recruits have the lowest priority for being accepted into raids.
*After these two weeks the recruit may apply for a raider rank and will have that rank's priority in raids.
- They will be able to bid on drops only if they would otherwise be disenchanted.
- They can accumulate DKP during this period.
*After the recruitment period has ended, DKP is maintained and the recruits' raiding priority becomes the same as members with the same raiding rank in all respects.
Disclamer:
Our guild, its chat and our guildforum along with our ventrilo, is bound to be filled with "adult" content, as most of us are in our twenties. We are no monsters but since we don't have a set-in-stone age limit to join the guild, we just want to let you know in advance that you'll be facing a guild of adults. This can sometimes mean crude jokes and such.
Ye be warned!

FAQs
1. Why do I have to apply? Why can't I just join?
This guild started from a group of friends and while we enjoy meeting new people, we only want people who are going to contribute something positive. By filling out an application, you show us that you have something to offer, and are willing to make the effort to join us.
2. Is there anything I have to read on the forum?
The guild rules are essential reading, and if you break any of them, not having read the rules is no excuse. If you don't understand anything, all of the officers are willing to help you understand. You can read the guild rules here.
Also, if you are intending on raiding with us, you MUST at the very, very least read about the essential addons although it is highly advisable to read and understand all the raid rules. If you don't understand why you have not been confirmed for a raid, make sure you read the raid rules first and ask second. You can find the raid rules here and the dkp site here.
3. Why is my application taking so long?
We open a poll on your application for 48 hours. This is to allow all officers and guild members the chance to see your application, and pass comment if they see fit. This time limit is non-negotiable and we do not appreciate being harassed into replying sooner. You should have a reply after this time unless there are exceptional circumstances.
4. Who can I ask for help if I don't understand something?
Your first port of call should be the officers (you can read who they are here). They are here to help, although you should refrain from asking them for quest or item help as they will not be best pleased at you disturbing their gametime for this when there are websites such as Thottbot and Wowhead to aid you with this. If there are no officers online, guild members may be willing to help out, but be aware that they may be otherwise occupied. If all else fails, make a post on the forum or send a PM to an officer and someone should get back to you.
