New PVP officers wanted!

Hello all.

On behalf of myself and the rest of the PVP officers I appologize for the lack of pvp activities the last couple om months.
There are many reasons for this which I will not mention. The fact is that we haven't done our jobs for months.

As a result of this all of the pvp officers are stepping down from their posts. So now we need some new people. The purpose of this thread therefore is for anyone interested in becoming a pvp officer to write a sales speach about themselves.

In a week I will then make a poll on the forum with all the applicants and all of you guildies can vote for whom you want as your new officers.

The job as a pvp officer as it is now is to set up a premade for the weekend battleground each monday, and to lead these. Beyond that everything is up to you.

So Please go on and sign up so we can get the horde blood flowing under the phoenix again.

And remeber the application deadline is august 19. at 23.59

Hello all I would like to apply for the job as a PVP officer.

My name is Emil and I'm also known as the mighty gnome Bufasu or the sexy human Fenny in game.

My reason for wanting to become a pvp officer is that I love the PVP aspect of the game. I feel that everyone can learn a lot from this side of the game and I believe in the fact that PVPers are the best players in the game. Therefore I want to everyone in our little guild to get a chance to pwn some horde every monday to earn the gear, respect and experience needed to play your class to the fullest.

Also I just want us to have some fun in another way than the usual raids.

As you all know I already was a PVP officer and failed miserably together with my fellow pvp officers. However I still have the fire in me and want this to get going again, and as you all know once things start going downwards it's hard to keep swimming up or something like that.

As being an ex-pvp officer I have good experience in leading premades and would love to continue doing so. I also have loads of pvp experience as this side of the game has been my focus for the last two years of playing.

So all in all I'm hoping that you will give me a second chance to get this pvp action up and running together with some new fresh blood.

I would love to apply, as I think I have found my passion within PVP.

However, I do not feel I have the experience yet to be of much use - I just wanted to wish all our applicants the best of luck and I hope to be dueling some of you soon!

I would also like to apply for the job as a PVP officer.

As you all know, I have been in this guild quite a lot so far and now
I would like to start doing something more important for all of us and "bring" some help.

However, my expirience in PvP isn't so big (I mean on arena),
but in battlegrounds I am pretty good (AV, WSG. I mean on leading),
so I would like to give it a shoot.

As Renaut said, I don't feel to be of much use, but with some help of expirienced PvP officers, I could become better and improve my skills for farther and bigger challenges.

I know that my ages are a little problem, maybe so as language is, but I am having some feeling which tells me that I have to start doing some more responsibility things.
Alos, I think It will make me stronger and give me more self confidence for becoming more then just a PvP officer.

Basically the PvP officers have the mondays at their disposal. So the main responsibility as a PvP officer is to set up PvP activities on the mondays, this can be premades, raids to horde cities, PvP turnaments or whatever they can come up with.

It is ifc. a good thing to have knowledge about tactics in the different battlegrounds, but not totally necessary since you can easily find tactics on the internet.

These PVP events wil lbe put up on the DKPsite for signups, and after each raid the PVPofficer handles the DKP earned by the participants. Admin rights will be given to the new officers by Sagi, and a walk-through on how its done will be performed by any of the old PVPofficers.

and if we kill a boss in a big city, how much we get for that?

Im not happy about this. If i am forced to do pvp (which i hate) just to keep up with others who pvp lots for pve loot....

Maybe make a seperate topic about this though since this is the application thing.

You don't get any dkp for that in any other raid so why would you get it here? Just because it isn't a PvE "raid", being ontime and staying for the full duration is still expected of you and as such doesn't merit any reward. Unless something has changed that i don't know about

I believe that this issue is going to be the very first thing our new pvp officers will have to deal with. Therefore i think we should leave the discussion for now and anxiously await a proposal from them when they have had sufficient time to adapt to their role as officers and work out a plan that is balanced, including the dkp rewards so that Aiten doesn't feel forced to pvp, this is after all a casual guild

I might have been a bit to fast here.

We had ontime DKP back when the premade mondays were up and running - but since then we changed the raiding DKP so there was nothing called Ontime DKP, but instead Not-Ontime-penalty.

But I am all for DKP involved in Premades - it makes everyone take it more seriously, so we don't have a monday, where 4 people haven't showed up.

But I will let it be up to the new PVP officers how to solve it.

The DKP you get from doing PvP, would only be on-time and and the likes, to make sure people show up and take it seriously - and that's only once a week. Comparing that to making all the DKP you can get from raiding up to 3 times a week, you notice it won't make much difference at all. It's more of a cookie to make sure people do as they promise.. farming PvP DKP until you can outbid everyone else in raids will take some time...

but, as said, it's up to whoever gets to be lucky enough to become the new pvp (edit) officers!

Well thats not the point. someone who pve's could quite easily goto the pvp ones as well. If i lose out on an item by 2 dkp because they got the tiny bit extra from pvp...

Why not just say you get a dkp minus for not showing up.

Good call by the PvP officers. I might bitch a lot on this forum, but I will also try more to praise when I see something positive.

This is the way things should be done, at least in my opinion, so compliments again to the PvP officers.

If there is a potential penalty there also has to be a reward, otherwise it is very unfair.

I just want to make a suggestion, or a wish...

You all know how much I love PVP (heh, I even raid in PVP gear =P) and I don't need to say how much battleground/arena experiance I have and how happy I would be if I become one of the PVP officers...
But, there's a big problem atm. I have so much things to do for my faculty in next 30 days so I won't be online so often.
Is there any chance that I can apply for PVP officer's spot after I'm done with the exams? I mean, I don't understand why you've made the deadline for applying at the first place, you didn't close the apply topic for raid leaders, it's still open, so why don't you leave this topic open for a couple of months?

This is probably somehow unfair or selfish request, but I'm just being honest.

This is only my opinion. If you are one of the best PvP officers in the guild, I think we can wait a few extra weeks for you.

Let's just wait a few years and then aprove our new PvP officers?

I mean, there will be more PvP officers, right? So even if you apply and get aproved,
there will be still other officers who could step in insted of you, and get the job done.

Anyway, I would like to learn something from you in PvP if you become a PvP officer cuz I've heard how skilled u are.
