The PvP events are back!!
Hi all PvP interested people
The new PvP officers have signed in, and the "Maniac Mondays" (the new name for PvP mondays ) are up and running again
For participating in the BG premaids on mondays there will be a 1 DKP bonus for sign-up and full-time participation. However, there is a -1 DKP penalty for being late, and -2 DKP penalty for a no-show (only -2 DKP for no-show. Not both penalties).
We have also put up a world PvP event. This will be similar to the Arena-tornament the previous PvP officers arranged. It's going to be fun, so go sign up
We are also thinking about introducing Arena training days where you can e.g. sign up with a team where you want to learn to play against certain teams or just generally want some tips and tricks. Then we will try to see if we can find opposing teams for you. Then you can fight against each other and talk about what you did and what could be done to counter the different things. This is mainly thought as training for 2v2.
Hope to see you participating in the events

Re: The PvP events are back!!
Please i beg of you dont make dkp anything to do with pvp. You get your own rewards from doing the pvp itself without it being rewarding for pve as well.
Re: The PvP events are back!!
It is a long discussion we have had before, but you are more than welcome to discuss it again. However, please make a separate thread thread for it, because otherwise it can become confusing

Re: The PvP events are back!!
We tried it without DKP in the start, but people are to slacking, we usually had to wait like half an hour to show up. And the only way we have to reward/penalize people for participating in the PvP events is to use DKP.
If you look at the amount of SKP you can earn from PvE, the 1 DKP you can earn for joining the PvP isn't that much:
3 X signup bonuses: 6 DKP
8 bosses: 8 DKP
2 X progress bonus: 2 SKP (this is ofc only if we don't take down a new bonus on the tuesday raids, and if we take a boss there is ofc. the 5 DKP bonus for taking a new boss)
all in all 15 DKP.
So a raider who participates in all the PvE raids and the PvP raid will earn 6,66% more DKP than you if you sign up for all the PvE raids, if you don't have the time to sign up for all PvE raids, you are ofc. going to earn alot less DKP than the ones who sign up for everything. But then you also have to compare yourself to the people who do not sign up for everything, and the main reason to not sign for everything is lack of time, so if someone prioritize one PvP raid over one PvE raid, they are going to earn less DKP than you.
But ofc. if you can come up with a better solution to reward/panalize people for the PvP raids we are all ears
Edit: sorry for discussing in your thread Torsyg

Re: The PvP events are back!!
Post changed from: For participating in the BG premaids on mondays there will be a 1 DKP bonus for full-time participation.
to: For participating in the BG premaids on mondays there will be a 1 DKP bonus for sign-up and full-time participation.
This is to ensure we get signu-ps in stead of just having people waiting to participate

Re: The PvP events are back!!
So you like it because it is harder to get DKP for PvP with these rules?

Re: The PvP events are back!!
That was the way it was intended the whole time, it just wasn't clear the other way. This change has not been made because of any discussion, but because Miraculixx noticed that I had written it slightly different from what was intended

Re: The PvP events are back!!
yep, i like it to be hard getting dkp. it is closer to what I think, and beside of that i'd like that in the pve raids aswell. ofc if you take a situation where some person you are closely related to gets ill and goes to hospital or something heavily emotionel happens it should make an exception

On the dkp-site. There is a link to it in the top called "dkp-site" If you can't find it, go to www.phoenixlegends.dk and press the button "dkp-site" that should get you straight to the dkp-site

Re: The PvP events are back!!
Right Renaut, actually on my request we changed the DKP site link in the forum header to link you to the Raid Planner (used to be "News") of the DKP site - to sign up however, you need to register.
To do this, simply click "News" in the menu to the left, and then just follow Sagi's step-by-step instructions on how to register. When you've got a character to sign up with, head to the "Raid Planner" and sign your heart away!
